A full-game label is only the beginning
Basketball can continue beyond regulation, but a wager is settled under its own time definition. A general rule covering full-game markets does not automatically settle a builder question. The relevant source might have a separate section for the product, competition or period.

The separate bet365 en-US general basketball source normally includes it for pre-game bets unless stated otherwise. These examples have different operator, product and jurisdiction scopes; they must not be presented as a like-for-like price comparison.
Participation is a trigger, not a prediction
Write the condition exactly: active or dressed, starts, enters the court, or completes a named period. These phrases are not substitutes. A player can appear on the roster and never play, or enter late without having started. The rule determines the relevant trigger.
The checked bet365 basketball page illustrates this distinction with general player-market court-time wording and separate first-event markets requiring starters. That is why “player props” is too broad a category for one universal participation answer. A builder-specific exception still needs its own check. Consider a fictional reserve player who enters only in the second quarter. “Takes part” and “starts the game” would describe different facts about that player. A full-game total and a first-basket market could consequently need different participation checks even though the same name appears on both.
A practical four-line note
Before interpreting the outcome, record the exact market, the named period, the participation requirement and the source clause. Then add the builder’s void treatment. If one of those is missing, mark the result unresolved rather than assuming the most familiar NBA rule.
